Check-in time is 4:00 pm.

Check-out time is 11:00 am.

Early Check-ins and Late Check-outs:

When availability allows, you may check-in up to 2 hours early or check-out up to 2 hours late. This extension to your stay is an additional fee.

*please note that early check-in and late check-outs are NOT available for Rent-a-Resort events.

Minimum Stays

Peak / Summer Season

  • Cabins: 3-night minimum

  • Houses: 4-night minimum

  • Yurts: 2-night minimum

Quiet Season

  • Cabins: 2-night minimum

  • Houses: 3-night minimum

  • Yurts: closed

Holiday periods require longer minimum stays and are subject to holiday pricing.

Deposits & Payment

~ A deposit equal to the cost of the first night, plus taxes and fees, is required at the time of booking for all reservations.

~ Remaining balances are automatically processed:

90 days prior to arrival for Peak / Summer Seasons and Holidays
30 days prior to arrival for Quiet Season

Reservations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date will be charged in full at the time of booking.

Reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Rates are subject to change.~

Please note: We reserve the right to substitute a reserved accommodation for a different accommodation in the same or better price category, or to cancel a reservation and return a deposit in full if a conflict arises.

EVENTS AND Group STAYS

10% Service Fee is added to all events and groups of 20 people or more. This is a gratuity that goes to our staff.

Cancellation POLICY

Peak Season / Summer Season / Holidays

• Cancellations more than 90 days before arrival receive a refund of the deposit minus a 20% handling fee per accommodation
• Cancellations within 90 days of arrival are non-refundable

Quiet Season

• Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival receive a refund of the deposit minus a 20% handling fee per accommodation
• Cancellations within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to: reservations@guemesislandresort.com

As a small island property, we are unable to offer refunds due to inclement weather, ferry disruptions, illness, power outages, travel delays or circumstances outside of the Guemes Island Resort’s Control .

DOGS

Dogs are welcome as long as they are social, well-behaved and supervised. All accommodations (except Tiny House “Almar”) are dog-friendly. Dogs are NOT allowed in Tiny House “Almar”.

Dog fee:
$25 per dog / night
$150 per dog / week

Accommodation limits:

• Cabins & Baker House: up to 2 dogs
• Guemes House & Salish House: up to 3 dogs

Tiny House Almar is our only dog-free accommodation.

If indoor accidents occur, additional cleaning fees may apply.

Crabbing and Clamming

The waters around Guemes Island offer wonderful opportunities for crabbing, clamming and fishing.

Guests must follow regulations from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Crabbing typically runs mid-July through late September (Thursday–Monday), though dates may change each year.

We have a limited number of crab pots, buckets and shovels available for guest use on a first-come basis.


WHAT TO BRING

CONSIDER PACKING … to make your stay even better

  • Swimwear for the sauna, hot tub or water

  • Clam digging equipment, crab and/or fishing gear

  • Bikes, games, puzzles, hiking shoes, sunscreen, rain gear and a good book

  • Your dog (if staying in a dog-friendly accommodation)

  • Rowboats do not have a motor. You are welcome to bring your own small motor

HELPFUL ISLAND TIPS

  • Shellfish, crab and/or fishing licenses are now available online

  • Crabbing is open mid July - end of September, Thursday - Monday only (Exact dates/days are subject to change. Please visit the Fish and Wildlife website for up-to-date information.)

  • No fireworks please

  • Have fun!
